The learning objectives of this presentation are to:
- The participant will be become familiar with the observed associations between COVID-19 infection and ophthalmoparesis.
- The participant will be introduced to the rare cases of COVID-19 affecting afferent visual function, through optic nerve or cortical disease.
- The learner will consider the various mechanisms through which neuro-ophthalmic and neurological disease in general, might occur in the setting of COVID-19, including through direct infection, vascular/ischemic injury and post-infectious inflammation.
