The Queer Connect panel event is a staple of National Coming Out Week at Temple University— the biggest week of the year for LGBTQIA+ related events, education and celebration for the Temple LGTQIA+ community and allies.
With this particular event, we strive to connect students with peers, professionals, and alumni to build their network while learning about a variety of skills necessary for navigating the workforce as a member of the LGBTQIA2S+ community. Students and alumni will enjoy listening to a small panel discussion and engage in Q&A. After this event, attendees will have a better understanding of career paths taken by community members, and how to advocate for oneself and others while navigating the world of work.
This event was created in partnership with Temple University Career Center, The Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity, Advocacy and Leadership (IDEAL) and with support from Alumni and Constituent Engagement.
