The Institute for Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship (ICCE) at Goldsmiths, University of London is hosting a new module called the “State of Hip Hop.” The module has the ambition to engage students in the process of understanding the art, culture and politics of and through hip hop, reflecting on a number of aesthetic, social, cultural, political and economic issues using hip hop as a transnational and global transgressive form of expression.
Join Klein Global Opportunities and Goldsmiths, University of London for Dr. Pauline Muir's lecture titled "Hip Hop and Feminism." This lecture will explore some of the misogynistic elements of the genre in relation to hip hop feminism as a response that engages both a feminist and anti-racist agenda.
