The Green Council is a coalition of student organizations that meet monthly to discuss sustainability initiatives on campus for students by students. At Green Council meetings, representatives from an array of student organizations and the Temple Student Government Sustainability Task Force come together to share ideas, plan events, and build campaigns aimed toward making Temple's campus a better place.
This meeting will also feature a skills resource workshop about carbon and electricity in your home on or off campus. Learn a bit more about how utilities are an essential part of local climate resilience and how you might be eligible for some financial assistance and relief. Leave with a better understanding of energy efficiency in your college apartment and how to plug into campus campaigns to win energy sovereignty for all Philadelphians.
Individual students unaffiliated with student organizations can gain experience and meet like-minded folks by serving on the TSG task force. For an organization, this is a great way to collaborate with other eco-friendly groups with similar goals and make even greater strides towards achieving positive, sustainable change in your time at Temple.
This event will be held virtually via Zoom. You can join with following link at the time of the event: https://bit.ly/green-council
