Illuminations: Maori Holmes (TFM '04)

    ILLUMINATIONS Black Cinematic Artists & Scholars Speaker Series:
    Maori Holmes (MFA, TFM '04) curator, filmmaker and writer in conversation with Dr. Ashley Young 

    This free LIVE event at TPAC (also streaming on TFMA's YouTube Channel) will feature a presentation by Maori Holmes in interview with FMA Professor, Dr. Ashley Young

    An alum, Holmes is a curator, filmmaker and writer. She founded BlackStar in 2012 and serves as its Artistic Director and CEO. As a director, her works have screened internationally including her feature documentary Scene Not Heard: Women in Philadelphia Hip-Hop (2006).

    Maori Holmes is visiting at the invitation of the Racial Justice Task Force. The ILLUMINATIONS series is supported by The Center for the Performing and Cinematic Arts, and produced by The Department of Film & Media Arts.
