Tyler is excited to welcome this year's Wolgin lecturer Jennie C. Jones, an interdisciplinary artist who blends a modern minimalist style with music — most typically, jazz. Her work is a cross-pollination between visual art and sound, and encourages the viewer to consider the meaning of unconventional materials when incorporated into traditional mediums such as painting, sculpture, sound, and installation. Jones has exhibited at The Arts Club of Chicago, The Glass House by Philip Johnson, The Contemporary Arts Museum of Houston, The Kitchen in New York, and the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden at the Smithsonian, among others. Jones' latest show, a solo exhibition at The Guggenheim Museum, will open in February 2022.
