Stories of Sustainability: Trees and Climate
For this special ecological exploration, we'll discuss the import of trees and woody plants in addressing the climate crisis. Hear from our own Glenn Eck, Director of Grounds, and Kathy Salisbury, Director of the Ambler Arboretum all about how Temple is capturing carbon with its canopy (and measuring it), Ambler's recovery from a climate-induced diaster, and how we can protect and strengthen our trees for resilinency, wellness, and health on campus.
This event will be hosted online via Zoom (Meeting ID:935 6047 2190 ) -- register here. It will include both a presentation from our featured EcoChampions, Glenn Eck and Kathy Salisbury, and an extended discussion with any and all Temple tree-lovers and climate advocates.

This series is dedicated to telling Temple's stories of sustainability -- our students, our staff, and our faculty's tales of climate action. Each session will highlight the innovation of our champions of research and operations, superstar students or community partners and give a platform to share best practices and foster dialogue.
