The Ambler Arboretum of Temple University is an excellent educational resource for students, faculty and visitors alike. From degree programs in horticulture and landscape architecture to non-credit programs in floral design and aquaponics, Temple University Ambler has more than a century of teaching sustainable practices and building important connections to the natural world.
Join the EcoReps in a day of service learning, helping the Arboretum recover from the tornado, likely a large planting project! We might even throw in some invasive removal to keep things interesting.
We will be traveling together via Temple Bus to the Arboretum on Saturday, April 23rd and assisting their staff from 10AM until 2:00PM. We will depart from the Ambler Shuttle Bus Station at 12th and Pollett at 9:00AM.
Light refreshments will be provided but participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch as we'll return back to campus at about 2:30PM.
