Temple University and Klein College of Media and Communication will host renowned photographer Ed Kashi to celebrate his new book, Abandoned Moments: A Love Letter to Photography. Kashi will share images and personal stories behind the images from Abandoned Moments, taken over a 40-year period. Kashi will also share a short film that serves as a companion to the book.
For forty years, celebrated photojournalist Ed Kashi has delivered the world's stories through images that both imply, as well as directly show, humanistic challenges and joys. Abandoned Moments, Kashi’s tenth publication, is a window into his unique voice and craft, and presents glimpses of ordinary life, as well as extraordinary events, struggles, and triumphs. Kashi is a VII agency photographer and also works frequently for National Geographic and the New York Times.
