What does the #MeToo moment mean for today, and what are its prospects for changing the future? Over the last year, in a more powerful and public way than ever, we have witnessed the failings of our cultural scripts about gender, power, and sexual politics. Through a campus-wide conversation about #MeToo, Temple University and its broader Philadelphia community has the opportunity to engage with the work of rewriting those scripts. 

Jodi Kantor, Pulitzer prize winning journalist, will speak about her investigative work breaking the Harvey Weinstein story and what she learned in the process of getting victims of sexual harassment and assault to speak on the record. She will reflect on the cascading effects of her reporting, which has led to dozens more high-profile revelations and countless others.
