Every year, during the month of October, Cyber Security Awareness Month raises awareness about the importance of staying safe online, protecting your personal information, and highlighting the best practices in cyber security. To help the Temple community participate in this campaign, the Temple offices of Information Security and Privacy and Community Relations have contracted with ProShred to bring you two safe paper disposal events. Both events will be held rain or shine.
Friday, October 27 10:00 am to 1:00 pm - Bell Tower
Feel free to bring your paper and pull your car up on the side of 13th Street. You can put your hazard lights on and carry your paper material from your car to the shredder truck at the Bell Tower.
Saturday, October 21 10:00 am to 1:00 pm - Temple Tower's parking lot at 1651 N. 13th St.
This event is open to the community. Help spread the word! Bring your paper to the parking lot entrance on 13th street between Cecil B. Moore Avenue and Oxford Street. For directions, refer to the location of the parking lot on Google Maps. Feel free to pull your car into the parking lot and carry your paper material from your car to the shredder truck.
ProShred's secure truck will accept your paper and destroy it. You will be able to witness the paper being shredded on the spot in the ProShred truck.
This is also a great opportunity to help protect yourself, and Temple University, from information and identity theft. We look forward to seeing you on one, or both of these days!
