Person-Centered Methods: An Alternative Statistical Approach

    During this presentation, you will learn:
    • An easy-to-understand statistical approach called Configural Frequency Analysis (CFA)
    • How to use CFA for analysis of contigency tables and person-centered research
    • Different CFA types through data examples and provided an introduction to the R-package confreq.

    Mark Stemmler, PhD is a Professor of Psychological Assessment, Quantitative Methods and Forensic Psychology at the Institute of Psychology at University of Erlangen-Nuremberg.
    He received a master’s degree from Technical University Berlin and a PhD from Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Stemmler’s research interests encompass development psychology, psychological assessment and methodology with an emphasis on categorical data analysis. He has worked on longitudinal studies in the U.S. and Germany.
