The Philadelphia Regional Tech Startup World Cup Pitch Competition is happening on on September 18, 2024 and will be taking place right here at Temple's Mitten Hall!
This Philadelphia competition, hosted by the City of Philadelphia Department of Commerce, is one of more than 100 regional pitch competitions happening across the world.
Temple’s Institute for Business and Information Technology and the Office of the Vice President for Research are serving as the university’s co-hosts for the Competition.
The Philadelphia first prize winner will compete in the Startup World Cup, the largest tech competition in the world. During the Regional Pitch Competition and Celebration:
- 10 tech startups will pitch their businesses to a panel of judges. These tech startups must pitch for 4 minutes with 2 minutes of Q&A. Are you a tech startup looking to apply for the competition? Click here to apply before the application deadline of Monday, September 2, 2024, at 11:59 p.m.
- Tech companies can network with other technologists, founders, and tech partners.
- Tabling partners will share business resources and opportunities.
- Technologists can gain insights from industry experts and innovative ideas to grow.
The 10 tech startups selected will compete for the following regional prizes:
- FIRST PLACE WINNER will be awarded $20,000 from the Department of Commerce and automatically selected to pitch at the Startup World Cup, the largest startup competition in the world for a chance to win a $1 Million investment prize in San Francisco.
- SECOND PLACE WINNER will be awarded $5,000.
- THIRD PLACE WINNER will be awarded $2,000.
