Policy Memo Writing Workshop
Policy memo writing can often be one of the most challenging skills to master for MPP students who are used to writing lengthy research papers. These memos can also have varying formats and applications in real-life settings as opposed to the classroom. This workshop will be led by Temple MPP Alum, Sara DeNault, who most recently served as Director of Policy & Data for City Councilmember Dr. Nina Ahmad. Sara will bring her experience and expertise to lead students through a workshop on the basics of policy memo writing, the differing purposes and applications of these memos in a professional setting, and more. To learn more about Sara's experience and career in public policy, you can visit her LinkedIn profile and read her MPP Alumni Spotlight article!
This workshop is part of the MPP program's Professional Development and Careers workshop series. The series is designed to provide supplemental knowledge on skills and tools essential to working in the public policy field and succeeding professionally. Workshops in this series will also give students an opportunity to learn about a variety of career paths and jobs in the public policy field.
