The College of Liberal Arts invites Temple University undergraduate students to submit original editorial cartoons and graphic illustrations that confront current political and social issues. We welcome single panels or sequential art. Diverse styles are welcome! Winners will have a chance to be featured on the National Cartoonist Society website.
Submission requirements: Open to all Temple University undergraduate students. All work must be submitted digitally via this Google form:https://goo.gl/forms/H6ZGuiC9nW5klALT2
Digital work must be at least 300dpi JPEG, 1MB or less. Each student can submit one (1) illustration. Collaborations are welcome; however, prize money will be split. The following information must be included with your submission: Name(s), TUID, Temple email address, and major.
Deadline: Friday, September 22
1st Prize: $500 | 2nd Prize: $250 | 3rd Prize: $100
Entries will be exhibited during the Graphic Thinking conference on October 17 in the Student Center, Room 223. Winners will be announced during the first panel presentation on Free Speech and Censorship at 9:30am in the Student Center, Room 217. The panel will feature Signe Wilkinson, editorial cartoonist for Philly.com.
