Join us for a conversation with Klein College of Media and Communication alumna Nora Gerard, KLN ‘76, Director at CBS News Sunday Morning, to discuss why she chose to study at Temple, what her journey to become a director at CBS was like, and how the pandemic has changed the industry. About the speaker
Nora Gerard, KLN ‘76, is an award-winning director at CBS, most recently for the CBS News Sunday Morning program. Gerard began her work at Sunday Morning in 2011, becoming the third director of the venerated program in its 40 year history. Hired at CBS right out of college in the late 1970s, she also served as an associate director and director on harder news shows like 48 Hours and CBS Evening News, as well as softer newsmagazine shows, documentaries and special events. Gerard won two Daytime Emmys as director at Sunday Morning, and was nominated for additional Emmy and Directors Guild of America awards for her outstanding work.
