Dr. Ingrid Olson, Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience, presents:
Air pollution, Cognitive Decline, and Dementia
For several decades it’s been known that air pollution is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease. In this talk I will describe newer findings showing that particulate matter in air pollution is linked to poorer cognitive health and dementia. I will also discuss why this is important to study in Philadelphia, and how one might go about studying this and applying findings to policy.
