Queer Lunch| Interseccionalidad: Embracing the Queer Latine Community

Institutional Diversity, Equity, Advocacy and Leadership (IDEAL)

This event is dedicated to exploring and celebrating the intersection of LGBTQIA+ and Latine identities. Presenters will spotlight the unique opportunities and challenges faced by individuals within the queer Latine community. The event will also feature a special focus on influential queer Latine figures, examining how they have navigated the challenges and opportunities inherent in their dual identities.

Attendees will be encouraged to participate in discussions about intersectionality, exploring how their experiences as members of both communities have shaped their own lives and those of others. This, in turn, may help participants feel a sense of belonging by sharing and connecting over similar experiences during the lunch. Overall, our goal is to foster a sense of belonging, and raise awareness about the unique challenges faced by the queer Latine community.
