Recreational Therapy and Disability: Past and Future Advocates for Social Change

    College of Public Health

Interested in learning more about Temple's Master of Science in Recreational Therapy degree?

Join Program Director Lindsey Oakes, Assistant Professor Gena Vargas, and Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions Laura Brasch for a virtual sample class exploring the social model of disability and our role in advocating for the rights of individuals with disabilities. Throughout the sample class, we will demonstrate a strengths-based approach, and we will review the use of assistive technology and how it can help to minimize the impacts of disability on engagement.

We look forward to having you join us for this wonderful virtual discussion!
