As part of its ongoing Spotlight Series, Temple University Rome presents Martina Rogato with an event entitled Gender Mainstreaming in the upcoming G20: A talk with the Women20 Sherpa.
Martina Rogato is a Human Rights Activist and Sustainability Advisor. She graduated in International Relations at LUISS University and in Green Management & CSR at Bocconi University. After an internship at the European Commission and some research experiences in the field of sustainability, in 2012 she started her career as Sustainability Advisor in different consultancy companies. She currently works also as a Contract Professor at Lumsa University and at Ilsole24ore Business School teaching on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Over the last 10 years, she supported Amnesty International as a Corporate Responsibility Expert, and since 2014, she is the Co-Founder of Young Women Network, the first non-profit organization in Italy working on young women empowerment. She has been a member of the Italian Delegation of Women20 (W20) since 2019 and in 2021, under the Italian G20 Presidency, she will fill a position of W20 Sherpa.
In 2019, Startup Italia nominated her as one of the 1000 women changing Italy with her social commitment. In 2020, Francis Pope nominated her as one of the international change-makers contributing to create a more inclusive and sustainable economy. She did a TedxTalk in Catania in 2019.
