Motivational Interviewing has been demonstrated to be effective for common clinical mental health problems such as addiction, anxiety, depression, and dual diagnoses, as well as other unhealthy lifestyle and self-defeating behaviors. This course will refresh participants on the principles and values of person-centered counseling and motivational interviewing approaches to be utilized within mental health treatment.
During this training, participants will learn and practice critical skills and techniques that assist clients with moving along the stages of change towards continuous and sustained action.
