This session will focus on advanced search techniques for evidence synthesis projects such as systematic, scoping, and rapid reviews. Search tactics for reproducibility will be detailed such as tagging terms, controlled vocabulary, proximity searching, and validated search hedges for filtering. Overall review methodology will not be a focal point but will be discussed in regards to reporting search results. Librarians will showcase how to document a search and report search results according to PRISMA guidelines. This session is for those that want an understanding of expert level searching in evidence synthesis, theses, dissertations, or other non-published projects. Attendees will learn how to construct comprehensive, exhaustive, and reproducible searches. Search basics will not be covered in this session.
This workshop will be offered as an online session via Zoom. You must register for this workshop. You will receive a registration confirmation email, which includes the Zoom link. This workshop will not be recorded, but a copy of the slides will be emailed after the workshop concludes.
