ASHA Certification of support personnel (SLPA and Audiology Assistants) is coming in Fall 2020. Join us to learn more about the role of SLPAs in our profession. This seminar will provide an overview of the timeline for implementation, the ASHA requirements for certification, and the scope of practice for SLPAs. Speakers will provide examples of how Speech Assistants are currently being utilized in a large Public School setting and ways in which SLPAs can provide much-needed support to SLPs in assistive technology and also a variety of other areas. The seminar will also include participant discussion about the impact of SLPAs to our profession.
