The mission of the status of women faculty committee is to advance equity at LKSOM, promote mentoring and networking among women faculty, and to sponsor faculty development workshops to promote leadership at LKSOM that better reflects the diverse fields of science and medicine. The topic of the 2024 spring faculty development workshop is “leveraging inter-professional collaboration for success”. We have invited 3 speakers to discuss their professional success in inter-professional collaboration in research, leadership, and/or education. We will introduce the collab connect initiative. Attendees will leave with practical knowledge of how to make, support, and sustain inter-professional collaboration for career advancement. At the end of the workshop we will announce the winners of the 2024 LKSOM Women in Medicine and Science Mentoring Awards that recognize and honor women faculty whose outstanding efforts and achievements have promoted the professional success and/or overall quality of life of women at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University.
