Studying Maternal and Child Health (MPH) Epidemiology Virtual Sample Class

    College of Public Health

    Join the College of Public Health at Temple University for a unique opportunity to preview our distinguished Master of Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology program. This sample class, taught by Marina Oktapodas Feiler, will allow you to see and feel what it is like to be a student in the Temple MPH program.

    The session will cover:

    • Basic measure of quantifying disease: counts, incidence, case fatality rates
    • Understanding what maternal and child health/reproductive and perinatal epidemiology are
    • The life-course approach to research
    • Risk factors/health outcomes in reproductive and perinatal epidemiology

    Attendees will also hear tips and information on the application process from the program's admissions officer, Olivia Bowman, assistant director of admissions.
