The Symposium on Obesity and Kidney Transplantation provides a unique forum for convening a multidisciplinary group of clinicians, researchers and allied health professionals (i.e., social workers, nutritionists, dieticians) in the fields of kidney transplantation and obesity as well as patients with obesity awaiting kidney transplantation for research development. The symposium will afford an opportunity for attendees to hear about and learn from patients on the waitlist for kidney transplantation, but struggling to lose the weight needed to receive a transplant, and to present and engage in discussions on the latest outcomes and interventions data in kidney transplantation for patients with varying levels of obesity.
