Temple University GIS Day, November 14, 2018
Temple University is pleased to announce that we will once again be hosting geographic information systems (GIS) Day on November 14, 2018 in 104 Architecture Building. GIS Day provides an international forum for users of geographic information systems (GIS) technology to demonstrate real-world applications that are making a difference in our society.
GIS links locations (where) to information (what), allowing us to question, map, analyze and interpret data and better understand spatial relationships, trends and patterns. GIS applications are increasingly essential to science, industry and government and are quickly becoming important in everyday life for people and communities.
This FREE EVENT will include a hands-on workshop, presentations, a careers in GIS panel, a poster session, and a keynote address showcasing GIS at Temple University and in the Greater Philadelphia Region.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Students, educators, researchers and professionals interested in learning more about GIS and how it is making a difference in our lives and communities.
Co-Hosted by:
