Temple University Opera Theater: Lucretia

    Center for the Performing and Cinematic Arts

    In ancient Rome, Lucretia’s husband is away, assigned to a military post outside the city. When the Prince of Rome knocks at her door, she’s honor-bound to welcome him into her home. The first chamber opera from Benjamin Britten, a charged piece about steadfast devotion in a brutal game of sex and power.
