“Inspiration from Nature.” In the TU Wind Symphony’s second concert of the year, each piece draws inspiration from nature. Aaron Copland’s An Outdoor Overture opens the concert, followed by Eric Whitacre’s Lux Aurumque, which means “light and gold.” Other repertoire includes Joseph Schwantner’s In Evening’s Stillness, Ryan George’s Firefly, and Steven Bryant’s epic five-movement work utilizing electronics, Ecstatic Waters.
