The Global Implication and Impact of the Belt and Road Initiative

    Confucius Institute
    Dr. Da Hsuan Feng

The Belt and Road Initiative is a major cultural and economic project to connect Eurasia and the world. Professor Feng explores the implications of this multi-continent initiative: the creation of a Super Continent, a Neo-Renaissance, and unprecedented cultural communications between China and the outside world which he argues, would not be possible without the millennium mindset of China.

About the Lecturer: Professor Da Hsuan Feng has accumulated three decades of academic and corporate experience in the United States, including the Vice President for Research at the University of Texas, Dallas and the M. Russell Wehr Chair Professor of Physics at Drexel University. He served as Vice President for Fortune 500 Science Applications International Corporation and has been a fellow of the American Physical Society since 1996. Dr. Feng currently is a Senior Fellow of Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University’s Institute of Advanced Studies and a Senior Advisor of Silk iValley Research Institute. He has lectured around the world and published extensively in East Asian newspapers on the Belt and Road Initiative.
