The Music of the Great Migration: A Student Performance

    Join us for The Music of the Great Migration: A Student Performance, produced and performed by Boyer College of Music and Dance students. All semester long, Boyer undergraduates  have been researching the culture, music, and history of the time period around the Great Migration. This performance marks the culmination of their hard work, creativity, and talent.

    Performances by:

    Noah Hocker–trumpet

    Silas Irvine–piano

    Josh Lee–Bari sax

    Chris Lewis–tenor sax

    Chris Oatts–alto sax

    Nathan Pence–bass

    Donavan Pope–drums

     

    This program is part of the Music of the Great Migration series, produced in collaboration with the Philadelphia Jazz Project, Ars Nova Workshop, Scribe Video Center, and the Boyer College of Music and Dance, with a special thanks to Terell Stafford, director of jazz studies and chair of instrumental studies at Boyer.
