Temple/Carleton Consortium on Women, Marriage and the Household from Antiquity to the Present: An Interdisciplinary, Global Conference
THIRD ANNUAL CONFERENCE:
WOMEN AND RITUAL ACTS
May 12-14, 2022
Hosted in-person at Temple University Rome or virtual participation is available via Zoom.
Our annual consortium focuses on uncovering the history of women. The last half century has witnessed a renaissance of interest in marginalized peoples across academic disciplines. We seek to approach the material with the widest possible variety of methodologies and theoretical stances, while at the same time seeking to close what may be viewed as a troublesome artificial gap between literary and material evidence. This year, we investigate connections between women and religion in our conference “Women and Ritual Acts.”
