Transit Equity Day: A Collaborative Vision for the Future of Public Transit

Join us for a dynamic and engaging event as we celebrate Transit Equity Day and explore ways to create a more equitable public transit system in Philadelphia and beyond. This event will bring together community members, transit advocates, and stakeholders to share ideas, discuss challenges, and develop actionable strategies for advancing transit equity.

Event Schedule:

• 1:00 AM - 11:20 AM: Attendees arrive, enjoy lunch, and get situated
• 11:20 AM - 12:00 PM: TFP Panel Discussion/Q&A
  A brief panel discussion introducing the significance of Transit Equity Day. Panelists from Transit Forward Philadelphia (TFP) will provide their unique perspectives on transit equity in the region, while engaging both in-person and Zoom audiences in a lively Q&A session.
• 12:00 PM - 12:30 PM: Visioning Breakouts
  Breakout groups will discuss ways to move forward with positive change in public transit. What does equitable transit look like? What steps should be taken to meet the goals of the coalition? These discussions will take place in small groups, facilitated by TFP members.
• 12:30 PM - 1:00 PM: Breakout Debrief, Final Thoughts & Staying Connected
  The final session will allow groups to share insights, ask final questions, and learn how to stay involved with upcoming initiatives such as the "Week Without Driving" and "Transit to Trail" campaigns.
