Join us to learn about Public Benefits Reforms and Medical Repatriation Policies in Philadelphia.
Navigating shifting healthcare policies can be challenging for providers and the immigrant communities they serve. This educational webinar will examine recent changes in public health benefit programs, medical repatriation policies, and reforms affecting immigrants in Philadelphia. Designed for healthcare professionals and trainees, the session will clarify eligibility updates for Medicaid and Pennie, explore the ethical and legal dimensions of medical repatriation, and offer practical resources to help providers stay informed and support equitable access to care.
In collaboration with our partners at Free Migration Project and Community Legal Services of Philadelphia, this session will cover:
- Laws and policies affecting immigrant eligibility for publicly supported health insurance.
- Available resources and best practices when helping immigrants navigate health programs.
- Philadelphia Ordinance on medical repatriation.
Presenters will be Andrew Yang, Supervising Attorney, H&I and Medical-Legal Partnership at Community Legal Services of Philadelphia, and David Bennion, Attorney and Executive Director of the Free Migration Project.
