Unsung Women of Horticulture

    Temple University Libraries
    Students working in a greenhouse c. 1911

    Postponed.

    This event has been postponed.

Join us for a day celebrating women and horticulture. At 1:00 pm, meet us at the 13th Street entrance of Charles Library for a campus walk and plant tour with Kathleen Salisbury, director of the Ambler Arboretum of Temple University.

Next, we’ll head back to the Charles Library first floor event space for a 2:00 pm talk about the work and influence of the graduates of the Pennsylvania School of Horticulture for Women, which became the Ambler Campus. A pop up exhibit will feature rare herbals and botanical books and other materials from the Libraries’ Special Collections Research Center.

Programs offered by Temple University Libraries are accessible to people with disabilities. Please contact Richie Holland at richieh@temple.edu or 215-204-3455 to request an accommodation, or with questions/concerns about accessibility. All other events questions can be directed to geneva@temple.edu or 215-204-1076.
