The College of Liberal Arts and Center for the Humanities at Temple Writers of Color Reading and Discussion Series was started in 2021 when racial inequities were brought to the forefront by both COVID-19 and Black Lives Matter protests. The series foregrounds perspectives of writers of color, particularly women writers. It is open to all faculty, staff, and graduate students at Temple.

The November 10th session will focus on Jesmyn Ward's novel Sing, Unburied, Sing, winner of the 2017 National Book Award for Fiction. The discussion will be facilitated by Professor Srimati Mukherjee from the Department of English.
