Nearly 2/3 of all adults have experienced an Adverse Childhood Experience. Emerging research suggests that trauma be addressed as a public health crisis with community and individual programming that is interprofessionally guided and multi-dimensional in structure. In considering an academic community, anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts are the most prevalent mental health challenges on college campus, with many of these challenges stemming from experiences with trauma.
Please join us for the film Resilience, which explores how Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) impact individual’s developmental, physical, and mental well-being. If you can stay after the screening, please join us for a panel discussion which will consider the impact of early childhood experiences upon students, faculty, and staff at Temple University.
