Health Department Assessment & Roadmap

Center for Public Health Law Research

Assessing readiness to advance SDOH through law & policy.

Is your health department working to improve social determinants of health through law and policy?

Join ChangeLab Solutions and the Center for Public Health Law Research at the Temple University Beasley School of Law for A Roadmap for Health Departments: Using Law & Policy to Advance Social Determinants of Health, a 90-minute webinar on Thursday, May 22, 12pm PT / 3pm ET. We’ll walk you through the Health Department Assessment & Roadmap, a practical tool developed by ChangeLab Solutions in partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The assessment and roadmap are designed to help health departments evaluate their readiness to address social determinants of health through law and policy change. Using this resource can aid health departments’ strategic planning and indicate key activities that can advance their programs, projects, and collaborations. Our presenters will explain how to conduct the assessment, score it, and use the results to identify useful next steps. Participants will be prepared to use the tool in their own health department, agency, or program.
