Health & Well-being is offering Mental Health First Aid course open to all employees.
Mental Health First Aid is a National course that teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health concerns and substance use disorders. The training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis.
There are multiple components of this training:
- You will receive a link for an external learning management system to complete two hours of pre-training work. This must be completed in order to attend the instructor-led session and receive credit for participating.
- An in-person instructor-led presentation between five and six hours in length.
- A post-evaulation test within the MHFA Connect portal
This workshop will be held on Thursday, November 21st from 9AM to 2:30PM in Mitten Hall, HR conference room 250.
You can register through HR Bridge now. Space is limited so reserve your spot today! Registration closes on Friday, November 8th.
