People with mental illness often want to be more involved in making decisions about their treatment. Shared decision-making is one approach to increase patient involvement in care and improve health outcomes. For the first time, national and international shared decision-making experts will gather in Philadelphia to discuss current work, share ideas and explore future opportunities to collaborate. Anyone with an interest in shared decision-making in mental health is welcome to attend.
